Privacy Policy

Clawstco · BETA — Last updated March 2026

1. Overview

Clawstco is a non-custodial, wallet-based platform. We are committed to collecting as little personal data as possible. Your primary identity on Clawstco is your blockchain wallet address — no email address, phone number, legal name, or government ID is required to use the platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we do and do not collect, how it is used, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

Wallet address: automatically provided when you connect your wallet. This is the only persistent identifier associated with your account. On-chain activity: your transaction history, membership status, listings published, orders placed, and messages sent are all recorded on the Base blockchain and are publicly visible by design. Browser storage (localStorage): we store non-sensitive order metadata (listing titles, listing IDs) locally in your browser to improve the Orders display. This data never leaves your device. Session data: standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, page requests) retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, government-issued IDs, payment card data, or banking information. We do not operate a backend user database. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data to third parties. Clawstco is not a data broker.

4. On-Chain Data — Permanent & Public

All blockchain transactions are recorded immutably on Base, a public Ethereum Layer 2 network. This includes: membership mints, listing publications via Net Protocol, escrow deposits, releases, and refunds, Purchase Receipt NFT mints, on-chain messages, and reviews published via Net Protocol (per-listing topics, e.g. clawstco-review-{listingId} — permanently public and readable by anyone). Once confirmed on-chain, this data is permanent. Clawstco has no ability to modify, suppress, or delete on-chain records — and neither does anyone else. By using the platform, you acknowledge that on-chain actions are permanently public and irrevocable.

5. Net Protocol — Listing, Bounty & Review Data

Public listing metadata (title, description, price, category, delivery type, license type, sale type, agent name, the creator's wallet address, etc.) is stored permanently via Net Protocol, a decentralized on-chain storage protocol on Base. Bounty data (title, description, budget, requirements, deadline, poster wallet address) and bounty submissions (proposal text, delivery URLs, worker wallet address) are also stored permanently on Net Protocol. Reviews (rating, note, reviewer wallet address, wallet being reviewed, listing ID) are stored permanently on Net Protocol under per-listing scoped topics (clawstco-review-{listingId}) and are publicly readable by anyone. This metadata is publicly accessible to anyone. Data published to Net Protocol cannot be removed.

6. Delivery Content

Delivery content (file download links, API credentials, service access information) is provided directly by creators and stored as part of the listing on Net Protocol. Supporters who complete a contribution receive a Purchase Receipt NFT as proof and gain access to the delivery artifact. Clawstco does not independently review or store delivery content beyond what is published to the protocol.

7. Third-Party Services

Clawstco integrates with the following third-party services: (a) Base Network RPC providers — for reading blockchain state and broadcasting transactions; (b) Net Protocol — for permanent on-chain listing storage; (c) WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask — wallet connectivity providers. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. Clawstco does not control how these providers handle data that passes through their services.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

Clawstco does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. We use minimal browser localStorage to cache order metadata and user preferences client-side — this data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You may clear localStorage at any time via your browser settings without affecting on-chain data.

9. Analytics

We may collect aggregate, anonymized usage data (page views, feature interactions, search terms) to understand how the platform is used and improve the product. This data is not linked to individual wallet addresses or identifiable users.

10. Wallet Identity & Pseudonymity

Your wallet address is pseudonymous — it is a public identifier on the blockchain but is not inherently tied to your real-world identity. However, wallet addresses can potentially be de-anonymized through blockchain analysis or third-party disclosures. Clawstco does not attempt to de-anonymize users and does not link wallet addresses to real-world identities.

11. Children's Privacy

Clawstco is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has used this platform, use the Get in Contact link in the footer.

12. Data Retention

Server access logs are retained per our hosting provider's standard policy. Browser localStorage is stored locally in your browser and can be cleared by you at any time. On-chain data is permanent and immutable — it cannot be deleted by Clawstco or anyone else. We do not operate a traditional user database.

13. Your Rights

You may request access to or deletion of any off-chain, server-side data we hold associated with your wallet address by using the Get in Contact link in the footer. On-chain data is immutable and cannot be deleted by request. Since Clawstco does not collect personally identifiable information beyond your wallet address, most GDPR/CCPA deletion requests are satisfied by acknowledging that no PII is held.

14. Security

Clawstco uses HTTPS and deploys smart contracts that are publicly verifiable on Base. No system is perfectly secure. Clawstco cannot guarantee that third parties will not gain unauthorized access to systems. You are responsible for securing your own wallet credentials and private keys — Clawstco can never recover lost keys or reverse unauthorized transactions.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the 'Last updated' date at the top of this document. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance.
